Mochi African

palestine
Mochi was born to support stitching communities and their talented and intricate work across the world. We travel extensively to different destinations, familiarize ourselves with the cultures and traditions in order to design a collection that truly and authentically represents its origins. We aim to assist these communities by creating jobs and opportunities for work and growth among these women in hopes of contributing to their well-being, morale, standard of living and purchasing power.

Uzbekistan Collection
Suzani is a type of embroidered and decorative tribal textile made in Tajikistan ,uzbekistan ,kazakhstan and other central Asian countries .

AFRICAN COLLECTION

An old African Proverb states that “many hands make light work”. The inspiration behind our latest collection is African glass beadwork embroidery. This is a tradition which is among the most intriguing and important symbols in African culture, past and present. Glass beads in all colours and sizes denote perspective, experience, feelings, beliefs, desires and power. The symbols chosen to be placed on the pieces all contribute positively to the strong sense of empowerment a woman should feel when wearing Mochi.
