Bella Wears Off-White at the 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards
Bella Hadid arrived at the CFDA Fashion Awards in a magenta blazer . Stepping onto the red carpet with the brand’s founder Virgil Abloh on her arm. Abloh is nominated this evening for the Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent—and having Hadid by his side felt particularly fitting, given that the model opened his Fall 2017 show in Paris this past March.
The suit-like separate came cleverly cinched at the waist, which streamlined the silhouette enough to offset the slight bell sleeves. Hadid, who was one of the original proponents of the pantless trend, left off trousers again in favor of bare legs, simply lengthened by sky-high sandals with a transparent PVC strap. She kept the rosy palette going with a fold-over clutch in a dusty hue that featured sculptural metal detail—a quick red carpet lesson in how to wear pink without being precious.
