Addition Elle and Penningtons launched on Monday a new campaign in honor of International Women’s Day. The campaign by the Reitmans-owned brands features women who work for the company, sharing personal challenges and stereotypes that they have faced and continue to face under the slogan 'Women Can'.
For the launch, the two Canadian brands teamed up with Toronto-based illustrator Madison van Rijin to create a unique limited-edition t-shirt that represents and embodies women from all walks of life.
The limited-edition t-shirt is available at additionelle.com, penningtons.com and in select Addition Elle and Penningtons stores for $35, in sizes x to 5x.
Proceeds from the sale of this t-shirt will be donated to the Canadian Foundation for Women’s Health. The campaign will run until March 13.
Reitmans Limited recently appointed Stephen F. Reitman as chief executive officer of the company, following the death of CEO and chairman, Jeremy Reitman, who passed away over the holidays.
In its most recent quarter, the company announced more declining sales, as seen in its first and second quarter of fiscal 2020.
Net loss year-to-date is $35.8 million ($0.61 basic and diluted loss per share), as compared with $15.7 million net earnings ($0.25 basic and diluted earnings per share).
