In a statement shared by the fashion fair online, organizers said the new situation is an opportunity to think about new ways of networking at a time when physical contact is reduced to a minimum. A task force has been set up to work on a “modern, digital product” that will be unveiled in mid-April.
“Manufacturers and retailers really need this kind of exchange, which is why we want to offer them the platform and market overview they need. This product will be designed in a cost-effective and solution-oriented way. We are inviting the industry to shape it together,” Jörg Wichmann said in a blog post.
The industry is now expecting to see a similar announcement from Premium, Seek, Fashiontech and Fashiontech Studio. The events, organized by Anita Tillmann, are scheduled to take place from 30 June to 2 July.
