Christian Dior has opened a unique online pop-up just for clients in the United Arab Emirates. Dior termed the new digital store its “first-ever ephemeral digital boutique,” developed exclusively for the UAE.
“The online pop-up store will exclusively offer a new capsule which can be purchased directly from this dedicated site,” Dior explained in a release.
Besides including the exclusive capsule collection made by the house’s womenswear and menswear designers, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Kim Jones, the new boutique also offers Baby Dior creations by Cordelia de Castellane – specially designed for Ramadan.
This year, Ramadan began on Thursday, April 23, and ends on Saturday, May 23.
The dedicated Dior store opens just as the region – a key global shopping luxury destination – carefully reopens from the lockdown brought on by Covid-19. This week, the Dubai Mall, a 502,000 square-meter retail space that in 2011 was the world’s most visited building, reopened. Dubai is the most populous city in the UAE, a federation of seven emirates.
Created in two classic hues, those preferred by Monsieur Dior - pink and metallic gray shades – the special capsule also includes must-have accessories, including the Lady Dior, Dior Book Tote, and 30 Montaigne bags.
Chiuri’s Spring-Summer 2020 ready-to-wear collection and the Dior Essentials line by Kim Jones completes the offer.
“A unique way of perpetuating the wonder and the art of gifting and treating oneself that Monsieur Dior so loved. In these unprecedented times, Dior remains committed to continuing to satisfy and surprise its customers while respecting the strictest safety standards,” the Paris couture house added.
