Major wildfires rage on in parts of Northern California leaving at least five people dead


Thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes in Northern California after fires burned through more than 350,000 acres, according to Cal Fire. 175 structures, including homes, have been destroyed and around 50,000 more are at risk. The fires, which have left at least five dead and over 30 people injured, come after a heatwave and amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
